William Hudson in the Philadelphia City Directories was a merchant or Supt. of the Southwark docks. The History of Mt. Holly, (Henry Shinn, 1957) notes that a William and Edward Hudson were grandfather clockmakers.

Henry William Kennedy Cutter was an insurance salesman in Chicago before the Great Fire. He formed a partnership with Joel Scott and C.H. Crossette on 1 Jan 1874, which became Cutter & Crossette on 1 Jan 1880. They built the shirt factory in Elgin in 1914. Listed in the in 1880 Census (not listed anywhere, not is his mother. Maybe they all went to Europe that summer). He lived (6516 Harvard Ave., Englewood (Chicago), IL. Among his neighbors was Harrison Dearborn Fisk, uncle of his soon to be dtr. in law, Eliz.
