Jennie C. Morton, KYHS , 14 Jun 1906, 14 Jun 1906, states year only, This
letter, and its precursor dated 12 Jun 1906, are an assertion by Otis Fisk
that he and his Aunt Sarah Emmal who married John B. Allen, are descendants
of a hall family, asking for information on all Halls. He describes a
family of a Squire Hall (of which there were several). The letter was
apparently prompted by rumors at the time that a vast real estate fortune
in Baltimore awaited any Hall who could prove lineage to the correct

Magary (Wm.)-Westcott (Mary) Marriage Record,, 4, This record is in the
form of a transcription of church marriages entered in a Liber. The film of
the Liber (NY County Marriages, 1868-70, Reel 4, p. 170, line 26) is in the
NewYork City Archives behind the counter. It is not part of the indexed
marriage certificate records that are more generally used. This is the
record that was later re-transcribed on July 13, 1896, for the Pension File
of Wm. W. Magary when Mary was claiming continuation rights for his
pension.
Marriage Date: 02 Dec 1868
Groom: Magary, William W. Bride: Westcott, Mary A.
Address: 158 Henry Street 302 Madison St.
Age/Color: 31, w 19, w
Sing/Wid: s s
Occ.: Salesman
Birthplace: Vermont New York
Marr. #: 1 1
Father's name: Charles W. Magary Wm. B. Westcott*
Mother's name: Maria C. Irving Mary W. Ham *(slightly unclear)
Married by: John Q. Adams*
Transcribed: 21 Dec 1868
Items marked with a * were not included in the re-transcrition. Because of
the dearth of Irvings in New England, I suspected that Irving might have
been a mis-transcription. After comparing letters of the reasonably clear
handwriting on the original transcription, it is certain that the name is
supposed to be Irving.
